SILVIO LUIZ FRANCISCO OSÓRIO

HEAD OF PRODUCT DESIGN - IN CHARGE
Was born in São Paulo city – Brazil. Silvio is Graduated on Industrial Mechanical Engineering, Master Degree on Materials Engineering. Started the career at Embraer in april/1982, as Draftsman. Left company in april/2017, 35 years later, as Product Development Engineer and Technical Reference (CY) on design of aeronautical structures. At Embraer, have worked on several Programs, as E-120 Brasília, CBA-123, E-145, MD-11, S-92, E-Jets 170/190-E1/E2, and also on the R&D Projects, as composite wing and fuselage, as design team leader.
Performed also integration and technical interface activities with partners on Europe, Japan and United States, as Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Gamesa Aeronáutica, Spirit Aero-systems, Premium Aerotec and Sikorsky Aircraft. Participated of several technical conferences and trade-fairs in Brazil and abroad.
He has been involved on continuous improvement projects and technical mentory programs. Also, released composite materials design standards and provided internal training about composite structures.
In Belo Horizonte site, at Minas Gerais State, during 3 years, worked as technical manager of E-190/195-E2 design work package. Also, provided assistance to the team technical evolution and so contributed to Office consolidation.
Silvio is a proud husband and father. He enjoys sports, running and traveling with his Family.
JOSÉ MARIA FERNANDES MARLET, Dr. Eng., PMP
HEAD OF MATERIALS AND PROCESSES
Experience of 38 years in polymer development, plasturgy and composites structures:
Actuation in aeronautical industry - Embraer: development of new composite materials and related processes for aeronautical structures, aiming weight reduction, cost reduction and performance optimization of aeronautical structures.
Actuation in polymer industry: development of new products, start-up and optimization of industrial installations and team leadership at
multinational enterprise. Development and optimization of polymerization process for PAN. Development of spinning process for synthetic fibers (PAN, cellulose acetate) and engineering plastics compounding based on polyamides and ployesthers.
Prospective studies on new materials and related processes for aeronautical structures.
FRANCISCO CARLOS MAIA
SENIOR DESIGN OF TOOLING
Maia is mechanical technician and post-graduate in industrial administration.
He began his career in 1979 at the Aerospace Institute (CTA) as a designer of warhead testing devices. Transferring to Embraer in 1980 to work as a draftsman in the Engineering of Tooling.
At Embraer, he worked with the development of tooling for the fabrication of metallic and composite parts and also performed interface with suppliers.
In the last 15 years he has served as a team leader in the development and subcontracting of tooling projects.
After 37 years he left the company in October / 2016 as an integrator between the following engineering: product, manufacturing and tooling.
FÁBIO DE TOLEDO FONTANA
HEAD OF STRESS ANALYSIS
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering by Escola Politecnica USP, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and a Mastere Profissionel in Aeronautical and Spatial Structures by ENSAE Sup'Aero, Toulouse, France, plus a MBA by Administration and Economy Faculty USP, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
More than 30 years of experience in aeronautical industry projects, with emphasis in stress analysis and fatigue & fracture mechanics analysis, including linear dynamics.
Actuation at Embraer projects, since EMB-120 Brasilia aircraft, and ERJ-145 aircraft, special projects like the partnership with Sikorsky on S-92 helicopter, the Brazilian participation on the International Space Station, the Super Tucano export models, the VIP aircrafts, and lately the E-170/190 aircraft family, including the E2 models.
SENIOR COMPOSITE MATERIALS AND PROCESSES
Sérgio Mayer is Graduated in Mechanical Engineering and Master Degree in Aeronautical and Spatial Material by ITA - S. J. Campos/São Paulo. He has more than 35 years of experience on aeronautical industry projects and certification, with emphasis in composite materials and process.
At Embraer, he worked on the following Programs: EMB-120 Brasilia aircraft, ERJ-145 aircraft, special projects like the partnership with Boeing on Wing Tip and Dorsal Fin, Sikorsky on S-92 helicopter and Gripen
Program, Super Tucano, AMX, E-170/190 family, including the E2 models, executive jets (Phenon 100/300) and KC-390.
HEAD OF TOOLING
Nelson Alves is Industrial Mechanical Technician and graduated on Industrial Projects, at Escola Protec in São Paulo/SP.
He Worked from 1979 to 1982 at Volkswagen BR, on development of plastic injection molds.
At Embraer, he worked from 1982 to 2016, and he developed the following activities:
- Design of molds for composite material parts;
- Specialist on Methods and Processes of composite materials;
- Technical specifications, budgets, design and fabrication processes for composite toolings;
- Subcontract, bidding accompaniment and fabrication of toolings;
- Technical responsible for functionality;
- Technical accompaniment during final assembly phase – responsible for tryouts;
- Leadership of technical teams on to supplier in Brazil and abroad in order to support emission of componente quality certificate;
- Technical coordinator of tooling design teams for primary parts and assembly.
